Our Mission
At CV Safety, our mission is Commercial Vehicle Safety and Education. We want to partner with truck owners and operators who maintain small fleets of vehicles with the information they need to understand and comply with the rules.

A thorough Annual DOT Inspection with hands-on all required inspection areas with an emphasis on Critical Vehicle Components most likely to result in an accident or Out of Service Order.

Roadside Inspection Prep
Don't risk your safety on the road. Is your vehicle ready for a roadside Level I Inspection? We will perform a complete and accurate Level I Inspection by a previously certified inspector and provide a list of items that are good, need attention and potential out of service issues. Let a highly trained and experienced retired inspector work for you!

Understanding the Roadside Inspection Levels and Process
Roadside Inspections should not be something that your drivers should fear. We will break down the various levels of roadside inspections, what they entail, approximately how long they should take and potential outcomes.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
The green book! Did you know that if you are a motor carrier, you are required to have knowledge of the regulations? Every driver, owner and safety manager has seen this book, but few are actually familiar with it. It’s huge! What is in here that is important? Do I need to know the whole thing?
Let’s take a look at this bible of the trucking industry and break it down into what is important to your role in the company. Are you an owner, driver, safety manager or do you do it all? We will take some of the mystery out of this book for you!

Out of Service Criteria
What does it mean to be placed Out of Service? Who decides what is Out of Service and what if I disagree? Where is this information found and how to avoid being placed Out of Service during a roadside inspection.
We will break down the Out of Service Criteria as well as some of the language used in this document and what the Critical Vehicle Components of your vehicle are in order to give you peace of mind when your vehicle is on the road.

Your DOT Number and Safety Score
Review your publicly available record for your company and what it means. A poor safety score can result in unwanted down time and increased roadside inspections.
We will work with you on improving your safety score which will improve your insurance rates, decrease your down time, gain more business and increase your profit margin.

Log Books and ELD Devices
Have you been told you need a log book? Have you been told you don’t need a log book? Do you need to use an ELD? How many hours a day can I work? How far can I drive?
Logging requirements can be a confusing dilemma and often you just hope no one asks to see it. We will work with your specific situation so that you understand what your requirements are and how best to comply.

Inspection Review
Have you recently had a Roadside Inspection and either disagree with the outcome or don’t understand what was written up? Was a driver or vehicle placed Out of Service? Were there violations noted? How long do I have to fix the violation? Did you know that you can challenge violations if you disagree with them?
We will review your previous inspections to help you understand what was noted and what the next steps are for you. We will also advise if there are violations noted that may be incorrect and should be challenged through the Data Q Process.

Colorado Size and Weight Laws

Oversize and Overweight Rules and Permits
Have you looked at CDOT’s website and can’t even figure out which permit to order.? NIOWD? Chapter 6? LVC?
This can be a very confusing process, but it does not have to be. We will break down the terms and what permits you may need for your operation and even help you navigate the website to obtain permits.
